Honest Abe." But, what the h*** does his father have to do with him as an adult, not even listening for a second to the woman he loves and says he will always protect? Then his friends say, "He was running on no sleep and we just got back from a mission." Okay, but he literally left her rot for THREE days after that. His friends give her all these excuses, "His Dad lied to him, so that's why he call him Abe because he won't stand for anything but honesty. ![]() He's so quick to believe the worst in her, after we hear for the entire book how highly he thinks of her, how "different" she is from all the other women he's ever met, how much he loves her and cares for her, I could go on. ![]() The "hero" in this story (Abe) knows her triggers and when she needs him most, he uses that main trigger against her. Obviously there's going to be things that will be difficult for her, things that will trigger her, etc. The mfc is recovering from an abusive, traumatic childhood. ![]()
